A Quiet Translation

Some experiences arrive without words.

We carry them in fragments…a gesture, a colour, a feeling we can’t quite explain. Over time they begin to arrange themselves into something we can finally recognise.

A Quiet Translation is about that slow process. The bold black marks represent the moments that shaped us. The soft washes hold everything we couldn’t yet name. Delicate gold lines become the invisible threads connecting one chapter to the next, revealing that nothing in our lives is ever truly separate.

The handwritten line crossing the centre is intentionally unreadable. It isn’t meant to be interpreted by the eye, but by memory. It invites the viewer to discover their own story within the marks.

This work reminds us that understanding rarely arrives all at once. It emerges gently, one quiet translation at a time.
